Burmese peacock softshell turtles
Recognition
Nilssonia formosa, the Burmese peacock softshell turtle, is the only species. Van Dijk (1992) has presented evidence that the genus Nilssonia is congeneric with Amyda, but unfortunately this was proposed in an unpublished Master's thesis and can not be accepted until formally published.
